Editing Guidelines and Conditions for Acceptance and Publication of the Article
Note:
If the respected author has received financial support or assistance from an institution or organization in completing his or her article, he or she should mention this on the first page of the article. It is reported that the Journal, owned by the Iranian Association of Journal, which had previously received scientific research privileges from the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, will now continue its activities as a scientific journal based on the new regulations for publications approved in May 2019.
According to paragraphs 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Article 2 of the Journals' Regulations, the journal has the possibility of including various types of scientific articles in each issue, including research, promotional, review.
All professors and students can submit their various scientific articles, taking into account the journal's approaches;
- Writing articles that examine new perspectives and trends;
- Introducing and criticizing books and articles written around the world about Islam;
- Scientific and critical notes on scientific reports;
- Methodological discussions (extracting new methods from new research in Islamic studies or describing the methods that researchers are currently using to research Islam);
- Introducing prominent scientific and intellectual figures in the field of Islamic studies in the contemporary world.
- Other related topics.
Article Acceptance and Publication Conditions
- The journal welcomes the receipt of credible research articles that contain new and non-adapted scientific material and points, and is not permitted to publish articles based on compilation or translation.
- The publication is free to accept, reject, correct, and edit the received articles.
- Dear authors, please send the electronic file of the submitted articles along with the request for publication and the following information via email to the journal address:
- Name and surname of the author(s) in Persian and English;
- Level of education, academic rank, educational group, name of the faculty, university and city of the author(s)'s university in Persian and English;
- Introduction of the corresponding author in case of multiple authors;
- Insert the email address of the author(s);
- Address, postal code, fax number of the corresponding author;
- Initial acceptance of the article is subject to compliance with the points of the "Article Editing Guide" and final acceptance and publication is subject to the approval of the Review Board. In any case, the result will be announced to the author.- The article should be at least 15 and at most 25 pages long and should not exceed 8000 words in total. In addition, the article should be typed in Lotus Font 13 in Word 2007 and sent along with a pdf file.
- The structure of the articles should include a title, abstract (maximum 150 words), and keywords (maximum 7 words), in both Persian and English, an introduction, main topics, conclusions, and a list of references.
- Foreign equivalents of proper nouns and specialized terms should be placed within the text and in parentheses.
Citation method
Article references should be in-text and in the following manner:
To refer to sources, immediately after the direct quotation (in quotation marks), the surname of the author of the book or article, the year of publication, the volume number and the page of the source in question should be included in parentheses. Example: (Haghiqi, 1366: Vol. 1/210)
To refer to sources, immediately after indirect quotation, the author's last name, year of publication, and volume number should be given in parentheses. Example: (Haghighi, 1987: Vol. 1, 21-25) In-text references in non-Persian languages should be given in the same manner as before and in the original language. Example: (Nelson, 2003:115) If more than one work by an author has been published in a year, the works should be distinguished by placing the alphabet letters (الف, ب, پ, and ... in Persian) and by inserting the letters a, b, and ... in English after the year of publication. If a dictionary or encyclopedia owned by the editor is used, his name, year of publication, and page number should be given in parentheses. If a specific article is referred to, the author's name, year of publication, and page number of the source in question should be given in parentheses. Apart from the above cases, the name of the dictionary or encyclopedia, the year of publication and the page of the source in question are given in parentheses. In in-text references, repeated references should not be given as if they were the first time, and the words “same”, “previous” should be used, and in Arabic sources: “المصدر السابق” and in English: ibid should be used. - References for all quotations (direct and indirect) should be set as follows: (Surname of author/authors, year of publication: page number).
* If more than one work by an author has been published in a year, these works should be distinguished by mentioning the letters a, b, and ... or a, b, and ... after the letter B.
- If a book has more than three authors, the phrase "et al." should be written after the name of the first author; a work that does not have an author's name should be referred to by the name of the book; a work provided by an institution or organization should be referred to by the name of the institution or organization. - The list of sources and references should be arranged alphabetically at the end of the article as follows:
* Book: Surname, name (author/authors). (Year of publication). Book title. Name and surname of the people involved (reviser, translator, editor, etc.). Edition number. Place of publication: Publisher. Book without an author's name: Book title. (Year of publication). Edition number. Place of publication: Publisher. Book authored by an institution: Name of the author's institution. (Year of publication). Book title. Edition number. Place of publication: Publisher.
* Article: Surname, name (author/authors). (Year of publication). "Title of article". Name of publication. Volume/year. Number of pages of article.
* Collection: Surname, name (author/authors). (Year of publication). "Title of article". Name of editor or compiler. Name of collection of articles. Place of publication: Publisher name. Number of pages of article.
* Websites: Surname, name of author. (Last revision date and time on the website). "Topic title" [in quotation marks]. Website name and address.
Article Submission Guide
1- Logging into the Institute's Publications System To register in the system, follow the steps below:
- First, click on the desired journal link. The journal site is designed in both Persian and English. After selecting the journal language (preferably Persian), click on the registration option and carefully complete the relevant form. Completing the items marked with an asterisk is mandatory. Enter your complete information (except for username and password), preferably in Persian.
- Enter your email address carefully. From now on, you will be contacted through this address. After completing and submitting the registration form, the username and password will be sent to your email address. (Sometimes the password is placed in the spam section of the email) To continue, log in to the system using your username and password. After logging in, change the password. It is noted that it is not possible to change the username.
- If you forget your password, enter your email address in the relevant section. A new password will be sent to your address. It is recommended that you change your password after logging in.
- Do not share your username and password with others. You are responsible for entering your information correctly. To change your details or address, click on the View Personal Information link.
- If you have any specific problems entering your information, please contact the system administrator.
2 - SinaWeb has the following features and capabilities for authors: *Submitting new articles: In this section, it is possible to submit a new article and complete the information of the submitted articles. To submit a new article, it is mandatory to complete the registration form and also complete the information of the article submission form. How to register in the system and submit an article is given below.
*Articles requiring review: This section displays articles that have been accepted and require review or are being reviewed. This section also displays a list of articles that have not been reviewed for any reason within a one-month period and have been deleted from the system. It is possible to view the latest status of articles that have been accepted by the editorial board and require review and corrections in this section. It should be noted that articles that are not reviewed by the due date for any reason are deleted from the system and, if desired, can be sent to the journal.
* Completed articles: This section displays articles ready for publication, as well as articles whose review has been canceled at the author's request, as well as articles submitted through a call for papers.
3- After logging in to the system, click on the link related to the personal page to access its features.
- Submitting a new article To submit a new article, it is necessary to complete the following information;
4-1 Select the type of article: Scientific-research article; Scientific-promotional; Scientific-review
4-2 Enter the title: The short title must also be entered in the relevant field. 4-3 Add the author(s) information * If the article has more than one author, enter the full information of the author in the relevant field. If one of these authors is identified as the author responsible for the article, his/her registration in the system is necessary. All correspondence from the journal office will be with the author responsible for the article.
4-4 Entering the article abstract: The article abstract must be between 150 and 250 words.
4-5 Adding keywords: The keywords must be between 4 and 7 keywords and separated by a ; or ; symbol.
4-6 Select a topic: If your article is related to one of the topics in the topic selection section, select the relevant topic.
4-7 Additional explanations: In this section, if a specific explanation is necessary regarding the article, send it to the journal.
4-8 Accept the terms and conditions of the journal: To continue working, if you accept the terms and conditions of the journal regarding the originality of the research work and not submitting it to other publications, check the relevant section. Note that only articles that have not been published or submitted in domestic or foreign publications are published in this journal.
4-9 Suggested reviewers: It is possible to suggest a reviewer by the author. Of course, its acceptance is subject to the approval of the editorial board.
4-10 Add files:
To register the article in the scientific publications system, it is mandatory to send the following files:
* Letter file to the editor requesting review of the article
* Checklist file to ensure that all requested items are completed
* Main article file: This file must not contain author information and must not exceed 2 MB.
* Submit tables, charts, and images separately. If necessary, enter other information related to the article documentation. + Submitting a detailed English abstract and a similarity search result file is required.+ 4-11 Completing the article submission: After completing all information and submitting the files, click on the Complete article submission link to continue.
*It should be noted that it is possible to edit the information until the information is fully completed and the article is submitted.
