Linguistic semantics, which deals with the emergence of meaning and its evolution, identifies semantic relationships between different concepts, and extracts a network of related meanings, has played a significant role, especially in the field of Qur'anic studies. In this article, the ethnographic school (Bonn school) has been studied as the most widely used semantic school in the field of Quranic studies, and Izutsu is the prominent figure of this school. Having a scientific background in linguistics and philosophy, he studied the semantics of the key words of the Qur'an and tried to achieve a harmonious Qur'anic system by discovering the semantic connection of words in a wide semantic network. In this work, Makino has been able to study and infer the general worldview of the Qur'an about creation and resurrection. In this library research, the methodology and content of "Creation and Resurrection" have been reviewed.A report from Makino's work shows a serious contrast between the construction of the concept of creation and resurrection in the Qur'an, despite the similarities between the two. It has been obtained from the meanings of creation and resurrection.

Influenced by the thoughts of Seyyed Jamal al-Din al-Assadabadi, and the socio-political conditions of society, the need for a contemporary movement called the "Shiite Qur'an" was formed in Iran, that Their most prominent characteristic is the Decline of the hadiths of the Imams in understanding the Qur'an. Examination of their books shows that views differ from those of other Qur'ans. The main purpose of this study is to examine the role of Sunnah in the basis and approach of Shiite Quranists through their own books. By analytical-descriptive method, their views on three issues (interpretation, adequacy of the Qur'an (using the tradition in doctrinal discussions and also in explaining the rules and details), the conditions for accepting the narration) Collected and analyzed independently of accuracy. Findings indicate that with this volume of differences and contradictions, errors in the use of approaches, etc., the process of calculating them is a matter for consideration. The contradiction between their opinions, lack of adherence to the principles and change of their views during their intellectual life, results in the weakness of their principles.

The present article critically rereads a part of the book "The Syro-Aramaic Reading of the Koran" by the German orientalist Christoph Luxenberg with new reasonings. In the fifteenth chapter of the book, he presents an innovative reading of "Ḥūr ʿin" and other Qur'anic expressions that refer to "Virgins of Paradis" in the Islamic interpretive tradition. Claiming the use of linguistic method, he considers these interpretations to mean "White Grapes" that have been translated from Syriac into Arabic. Nevertheless, the study of the Qur'anic context shows the incompatibility of his hypotheses with other verses. Also, the claimed words have a long history in the poems of ignorant poets and are used in the same modern meanings in the beginning of Islam. In addition, numerous narrations suggest a similar view of this concept among early Muslims and Islamic scholars of later centuries, which Luxenberg denies. Additionally, criticisms of Luxenberg's book by other orientalists strongly support the invalidity of his claims by non-Muslim scholars.

Krachkovsky and Zinalf are one of the prominent Russian figures in the field of translating the Holy Quran. In spite of the long time period elapsing between them, they have almost identical and much better performance than the other Russian translators of the Quran. Krachkovsky has been acquainted with the Quran for many years and has taught it at university. But, Zinalf has seminary knowledge and his acquainted with the Quran is due to familiarity with different Quranic sciences in Seminary School of Qom. The question of article is that despite the fluency of both in Arabic, which one had a better translation? Analytical review of content shows that Zinalf had a more successful performance than Krachkovsky because of his greater linguistic knowledge of the Holy Qur'an (i.e. correctly understanding of the text and mastering on it, not merely having fluency in text language). Seems this comparative superiority is not unrelated to his educational environment

One of the most important challenges in scientific and non-scientific areas in recent centuries in all parts of the world is the issue of women's rights. Islamic societies also have dealt with this issue and there have been many conversations and even conflicts about women and their place in Islam and Islamic jurisprudence. In this regard, it can be said that the most challenging verse about women in the Holy Quran is 4:34 which refers to issues such as the strength of men, the superiority of men, obedience to men and multiplication by men. Meanwhile, modernists such as "Islamic feminism" has offered different views. Therefore, in the present article, the views of Asma Barlas as one of the prominent modern thinkers of Islamic feminism regarding verse 4:34 are explained and evaluated in a descriptive-analytical manner. Barlas believes that the patriarchal interpretive tradition in Islamic societies has ignored the divine revelations of the Qur'an and attributed its patriarchal misconceptions to divine will. He interpreted “Qiwamah” to "protection", “Tafzil” to "financial superiority", “Qonoot” to " submission to God, not the husband", “nuzhuz” to "disruption of marital life, not disobedience to the husband" and “multiplication” to "symbolic act, not a beating." It is demonesterated that Barlas's thought, ie the historicity of the Qur'an, has serious shortcomings, and some of her Qur'anic views on verse 4:34 are contrary to the Qur'anic appearances, lexical sources, and narrations of the Infallibles (peace be upon them).

The suspicion of conflict between the verses of the Holy Quran has been raised among Muslims and non-Muslims since the first centuries of the emergence of Islam, and today a group of orientalists express the same suspicion and provide examples for it. In general, the method of Orientalist research in the field of Islamic sciences has its drawbacks, which can be enumerated as follows: Involvement of mindsets and presuppositions in discussions, attention to contextual appropriateness without considering situational appropriateness, non-revelatory view of the Qur'an, weakness Scientific, referring to incorrect, weak sources and incorrect comparisons of the Qur'an with holy texts. Also, the reasons for creating the illusion of conflict among orientalists are: disregard for syntactic nuances, lack of familiarity with the rhetoric of the Arabic language, lack of attention to the issues of Quranic sciences and lack of attention to the structure of the Quran.

Self-referential discourse, i.e. the discourse of the Qurʾān about itself, is omnipresent in the Qur’anic text. Interestingly, it uses several strategies of argumentation and several rhetorical tools in order to persuade the listener or the reader to adhere to a specific understanding of what the Qurʾān is: an understanding leading to faith. Based on an extensive study of the self-referential discourse in the Qurʾān, this paper focuses on the importance of one of the rhetorical tools: “binarity.” This notion goes beyond the simple notion of “pairs” and is characterized by a clear-cut opposition ongoing in the whole text between elements of all kinds of domains and mainly in relation to biblical material. Contrary to what it may seem at first glance, “binarity” in the Qurʾān is far from being related to a dualist religious system. On the contrary, a close analysis shows that the use of “binarity” in the text emphasizes the exceptional character of the Qurʾān in relation to its divine origin. The function of “binarity” appears in all its rhetorical strength in the impression conveyed upon the listener or reader. Following the path of the works of contemporary scholars who used literary, structural, and argumentative analysis, this paper also aims at convincing the reader of the fruitfulness of rhetorical studies of the Qurʾān.

One of the most ubiquitous terms in the Qur’an, taqwa, or ‘fear of God’, serves as a major theme and leitmotif of the wider Quranic vision. This study explores, both lexically and semantically, the way in which this term is situated within the Quranic universe of discourse, proposing that by attending to the broader semantic dynamism of the text itself we are in a better position to understand the range and scope of the vision which shaped the Qur’an’s key thematic structures. Methodologically, the study has made use of a systematic statistical survey of the Quranic lexicon, deriving by way of computer- aided analysis a comprehensive inventory of all morphological derivations of radicals connoting the general idea of ‘fear’, a larger semantic grouping to which the term taqwa belongs. Predicated upon the results of this empirical survey, the study takes as its primary analytic framework the Qur’an’s inherent intertextual reflexivity and argues that observable semantic shifts in the rhetoricity of the term taqwa represent circumstantial developments in the text’s basic chronology.

The science of history in the West has undergone many leaps since the nineteenth century. Over the years, history has removed many ambiguities, answered many questions and corrected many misconceptions. However, historiography and islamic historiography has not kept pace with these developments. This has led to a significant difference between the two when viewed from a Western and Islamic perspective. A clear example of this kind of difference can be seen in the presentation of historical issues in the interpretations of the Qur'an and the Qur'anic works of Orientalists. The present article tries with a critical approach to carefully consider the weaknesses and strengths of historiography and to point out the path that the interpretations of the Qur'an must take in order to be in line with the advances in the science of history. In this regard, the concern for the educational value of history and the avoidance of Israelis can be considered as two positive points of interpretations, which can be considered as the difference between the Islamic approach and the Western approach, but to improve the historiography of Qur'anic interpretations, some harms. Such as the existence of contradictory positions, the lack of balance between instructiveness and objectivism, the dominance of ideological attitudes in analysis, as well as the central character should be seriously considered.

The field of history of the Qurʾān in general, and Qurʾānic readings in particular, is one of the popular scholarship fields in the West. Shady Hekmat Nasser is one of the most prolific writers in this field; He has published two books and four articles about Variant Readings of the Qurʾān. By examining these works, this article has found that according to Nasser, the history of the text of the Qur'an has five stages of Canonization in order to reach its current form. To examine these stages, Nasser began with the intermediate stages about which more information is available, thus making it easier to explain what happened in the first stage. He has a historical-critical approach in his works and interested in linguistic and jurisprudential issues; He has also tried to use new methods, such as Motzki's Isnad cum Matn metod, to examine the process of Emergence of Shawādhdh and Two-Rāwī Canon. He has also considered the inner evolution of the field of Qurʾānic readings by examining its relationship with other fields such as literature, jurisprudence and hadith.

The book "Feminist Edges of the Qur'an" which was published in 2014, can be considered as the most important work of Aisha Hedayatullah. This book is in fact the product of the author's years of exploring the feminist works of the Qur'an. Hedayatullah holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and has held a chair in the American Academy of Religions since 2008. She has published important works on gender discourse in Islam and studies. The book "Feminist edge of the Qur'an" was first published in 2014 and has been reprinted many times. This book is a methodology of feminist exegesis of the Qur'an in the contemporary era. In this book, after introducing famous works with the tendency of feminist exegesis of the Qur'an, the author coherently expresses the origins, concepts and analytical methods of these commentators and then criticizes this interpretive tendency. A prominent feature of this book is the author's careful consideration in explaining the internal contradictions of the views of womencentered commentators in the interpretation of verses related to women.

Saleh ibn Sahl, in spite of being trusted by some Islamid scholars, such as Ali ibn Ibrahim Qomi, has been accused of exaggerated ideas by others, such as Ibn al-Ghazairi. Due to the wide disagreement of scholars of the science of Rijals about the degree of trustworthiness of Saleh Ibn Sahl, in this article, with an analytical method and a historical approach using the tools of internal and external criticism, we examine this issue. In order to reach a proper analysis of these conflicts, we first investigate the rijali reports and hadiths related to Saleh ibn Sahl Hamedani and identify the conflicts between the reports and the analyzes. Then, in three levels of rijal, component and current, we analyze conflicts to get a clear and comprehensive picture of the beliefs and personality of Saleh Ibn Sahl Hamedani and to better understand why conflicts are formed in a general picture.
